Being gossiped about can make you feel very bad. It can even make you think bad about yourself, and maybe even question your worth. But you need to know you're very Valuable to God, even though people may talk bad about you. God Knows your heart, no one else. You need to stop focusing on what people "think" of you, you're not living to prove anything to them. As long as you and God knows the Truth, don't worry about it. I know, it's easier said than done. But it is true, we need to realize that no matter what anyone says or think about us, Even if others may be wrong about us, God knows the Truth. In the end, it's not gonna matter what anyone, but God thinks of us, because He is the One Who we are supposed to live for, no one else. If God knows our heart, who cares what anyone thinks of us? It can be hard not to get caught up into what people thinks of us. But, we can overcome what anyone thinks of us with God's Help.
What to do if you've been gossiped about: • Stay Calm! When we reply hurt and in a mad attitude, we may say things out of the heat. Which may effect your Christ-Like manner. Which might make things worse. So calm down and remember God Knows your heart--not them. • Behave in a Godly Manner! It can be hard to behave in a Godly manner when you know people have talked bad about you. But you need to know the enemy (satan) wants you to feel down, he wants to make you think (and feel) bad about yourself, he'll do anything to torture and hurt God’s children. But, you don't have to let him get his way. You need to act in a Godly manner. If you confront the abuser(s), be sure to do it in a kind, gentle, and Godly way. Let them see Christ's Reflection in you.. if you confront the abuser(s), you need to be calm. Because when we're mad and hurt, we may say things out of the heat of the moment, and make things worse. Like Proverbs 15:1 says, ”A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.“ A Gentle answer turns away wrath. If you speak kind to them, they may stop, and speak back kind words to you. If you were mad at someone, then all of a sudden they say something really nice to you, would you say something mean back? Probably not. • Remember your fabness! (Even if that's not a word 😉) You were Created by the King of kings. He Thought you were to die for {literally}; therefore, you're extremely special. You're amazing, you're a precious, and a fab child of the KING. No matter what, Jesus still Loves you! Don't let what people say about you make you think less of your awesomeness. (Because, you're pretty awesome if you ask me! 😉) • Remember this won't last forever! After awhile, I'm sure things will be better. Like Romans 8:28 Says: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His Purpose.” All things can turn out good, and in the end, it's not gonna matter what anyone—but God—thinks of you. Who knows? Maybe it happened for a reason, you just need to Trust in God! Because He Knows what's best for us. Maybe it'll get you closer to God. But regardless of reasons, just Trust God. Because He Knows what's Best for you, and He knows exactly what He's doing. Lastly, • Don't feel bad! When you begin to feel bad about what the “abusers” said about you, begin to quote Scripture to yourself, and pray about it. Ask God to help you overcome it; He can make you feel better, just ask Him. Have a Fabulous Day, and stay tuned for the next blog update! Hope you enjoyed this blog post. Don't forget to comment your thoughts! Blessings, Megan xoxo
